The Mission of the Barrington Youth Football Tackle program
is to provide the opportunity for Barrington area boys and girls
between the ages of seven and fourteen to learn
the fundamentals of football and participate in an organized,
competitive program with participants of similar age and size.
The BYF TACKLE Program is open to children that reside in the
Barrington School District
(District 220 http://www.cusd220.org).
"Big Ten" -
There is one "Big Ten" team
per level that plays on Sunday.
The players are selected by the team's head coach
to represent BYF's most competitive players
at each age and weight level.
"Pac Ten" -
Remaining players are equally
split among "Pac Ten" teams that play mostly on Saturday.
For these teams, the rules mandate equal playing time
and the emphasis is instruction, development and participation.
